RIVERS, CASTLES AND MILLS - Ideal for families!
A journey through the Lomellina territory, which used to host, during the reign of the Sforza family, peasant villages, woods ideal for hunting due to their abundance of animals and castles pertaining to the Duchy. It is precisely in this period that the transformation of the landscape began, experimenting with the cultivation of rice. The waters of the Ticino river, which used to be rich in a variety of fish, hosted a great number of sturgeons, particularly appreciated by the nobles. Between history, anecdotes and curiosities, you will discover little-known places with a thousand-year history. Today the protected area is part of the Ticino River Park.
